Complete Collision Repair

Port Hawkesbury Collision Center has the knowedge and equipment needed to repair any type of collision damage to all makes and models of cars, light trucks and SUVs. Our technicians are trained in the proper procedures necessary to repair todays vehicles with all their advanced technologies and paint finishes.

Aluminum Repair

Many of today’s vehicles have aluminum body panels, or have complete aluminum bodies, as is the case with the newer Ford F-150 and F-250. The use of aluminum in the manufacturing of new vehicles is a growing trend. To properly and safely repair aluminum vehicles, special tools and training are needed.

A repair station dedicated to aluminum repair is also a requirement. Port Hawkesbury Collision Center has an “aluminum repair isolation staion”, and has invested in the special tools and training needed for aluminum repairs. If your aluminm vehicle requires collision repairs, we are prepared!

Factory Finish

Port Hawkesbury Collision is in partnership with AkzoNobel/Sikkens paints to provide a beautiful paint finish on our repairs. We are the only shop in the Quad counties of Inverness, Richmond, Antigonish and Guysborough with a paint booth capable of baking the clearcoat, resulting in a smooth durable factory-like finish. Sikkens paint colors are also water based and therefore environmentally friendly.

Colour Matching

Base coat/ clear coat, tri-coat, quad-coat, pearl-coat, matte finish, todays automotive paint colours have many variations. A combination of experience, Sikkens paints and AkzoNobel’s “Automatchic Vision” paint scanner enables us to provide our customers with the best possible colour match.

Air Conditioning

A number of front end collisions involve replacement of air conditioning components, and therefore recharging the A/C system. The types of refidgerants used to recharge these systems are frequently updated to meet environmental standards. The latest update involves 2018 and newer vehicles. This requires equipment updates. Port Hawkesbury Collision has all the up-to-date equipment needed to recharge the newest vehicle A/C systems, as well as previous systems.

Mitchell Diagnostics

With the abundance of electronics in todays vehicles, insurance companies are requesting that damaged vehicles be scanned for diagnostic trouble codes before and after repairs have been completed. These PreScans and PostScans will ensure that all trouble codes that are accident related will be repaired and/or reset to ensure your vehicle is returned to you in pre-accident condition. Port Hawkesbury Collision Centre uses the Mitchel Diagnostic Scanner which has been taylored to meet the needs of the automotive collision industry.

If you are covered for a car rental while your vehicle is in our shop for repairs, we can make all the arrangements. We will have National Car Rental pick you up at our door and drop you back once the repairs have been completed. It’s that convenient!
